Sunday School

Youth
Welcome to Sunday School at OSLC!

Please note: While we are NOT meeting for in-person worship due to Covid-19, an on-line Sunday School link will be emailed to families each week starting September 13, 2020.

Normally, Sunday School runs September-May from 10:15 AM – 11:00 AM each Sunday morning. Students attending 9 AM service will be ushered by teachers down to the Fellowship Hall during the last hymn. Students will meet down in the Fellowship Hall for a quick snack. Sing and Praise time will begin at 10:15 AM in the basement Elementary Room (Grades K-2 classroom).

Nursery: Infant – Age 5

Childcare is available in the nursery on Sunday mornings from 8:45 AM- 12:15 PM. Infants and young children are invited for supervised play and snacks. Parents are asked to introduce themselves and their child/children to the Nursery Attendant and to personally drop off and pick up their child/children each time.

Pre-School/Toddler Class:  Ages 2 years – Pre-Kindergarten

The children in this class will have a playful Sunday School experience using Sparkhouse curriculum, rooted in church life. Each lesson has a Bible-centered approach as students will learn more about Jesus. The lesson materials and activities are hands-on and engaging for young children. This class will have an opportunity to participate in age appropriate singing, activities and crafts.

Elementary Classes: K-2 and Grades 3-6th:

Students will “Activate Faith” in their SPARK Sunday School experience. Each weekly lesson has a Bible-centered approach as students learn more about Jesus and how to share God’s love with others. Each class will have an opportunity to participate in age appropriate singing, group, and hands-on activities.

Middle School Class & High School Class:  Grades 7-12

Our middle school and high school students will be using individual and group activities to help youth engage the tough faith questions, uncover major biblical the messages and discover how the Bible relates to their own lives. The youth will also have the opportunity to be assistants in church services, serve the church community with Youth Coffee Hour and participate in Adult Forum sessions. Service projects and monthly activities will also be planned by the students.

Simply curious or seriously committed,

blessed or broken, loved or lonely,

 all are welcome here,

no exceptions.
