About Our Savior Lutheran Church

Our Saviour Lutheran Church is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA).  We anticipate with pleasure meeting visitors, whether new to the area, or long-time members of our community.

We come from varied walks of life across Greater Lafayette/ West Lafayette, and we hope you will find that the combination of “town and gown” in the OSLC community creates a delightful blend of individuals seeking to faithfully and creatively bear witness to the Gospel.

Founded as a mission church in 1958, OSLC has had a continuous partnership with Purdue Lutheran Ministry from its beginning, providing a congregational “home away from home” for the Lutheran student community of Purdue University. The congregation’s first place of worship was the old West Lafayette Junior High School on the site of the current church building.  Our current building was dedicated in 1966 and expanded in 1994.
